My paintings begin with an image or an idea that feels familiar but cannot be fully explained. I am interested in the space between recognition and uncertainty, the moment when something appears to make sense, yet remains open to another interpretation.

My work is driven by psychological and philosophical questions, in particular how memory shapes identity, how perception alters what we believe to be real, and how much of who we become is determined by our own choices or by forces beyond our awareness. Time, free will and the instability of perception recur throughout my work, often expressed through figures, water, reflections, threads, thresholds and suspended objects.

I do not use these elements as fixed symbols. Their meaning shifts from one painting to another and, ultimately, with the person looking at them. I am drawn to images that leave something unresolved, allowing the viewer to instinctively reconstruct what is missing and bring their own experience to what they see. For me, painting is less about providing an answer than creating a space in which several possibilities can exist at once.
